The 2008 Diverse Voices; Family Violence planning committee is pleased to present a conference that considers the impact of Family Violence across generations and cultures.
Speakers will address topics under the following themes:
Coordinated community response A collaboration of various agencies who work together to provide the best possible support for families who are experiencing Family Violence.
Intercultural Focus Exploring the unique issues of in immigrant, refugees and aboriginal communities; focusing on challenges of accessing and navigating the systems of support.
Faith Communities Addressing and identifying the roles of faith communities in becoming active partners in reducing the destructive patterns of Family Violence in our society.
Healing Exploring the issues and the necessity for healing as it relates to violent human behavior.
